Siepi delivers wines of superior structure and sophisticated elegance. This super Tuscan is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot at equal proportions. This rich, fleshy red wine exhibits a deep ruby red colour with purple highlights. A complex and fragrant nose showcases tobacco leaf, earth, cocoa, tar, spice, alongside with ripe black and blue fruits such as ripe blackberries and dark cherries accented by notes of mint and wild herbs. Highly concentrated with sweet, bolstered tannins and a lush velvety texture, along with the succulent and well - integrated ripe black and blue fruits, spice, chocolate, leather, sandalwood and licorice build in the glass. Powerful, inward and intense, it shows marvellous depth and sheer purity. It closes with a finish of rare thickness and persistence. This is an impressive wine with a full-bodied, dense and multi-layered palate and it can be drunk well over the next 20 years.
